Gryphons face Laval in opener W-LEAGUE SOCCER

The London Gryphons appear to have beaten the weather; now they hope they can beat Laval in their home opener. The Gryphons open their seventh USL W-League season Saturday at North London Stadium with a game against Laval Comets. While London City of the Canadian Soccer League and FC London of the Premier Development League had to postpone their weekend home openers, the Gryphons look to have avoided the bad field conditions that have caused so many events to be postponed. The Gryphons will play this season in the Great Lakes Division. The 12-game season will have them playing against teams such as the Ottawa Fury and Toronto Lady Lynx, two of the stronger teams in the W-League.
